 August 1990, Deee-lite released their album World Clique featuring the worldwide smash hit single “Groove Is in the Heart,” as well as three subsequent singles which also hit the top ten, including “Power of Love/Build That Bridge,” “E.S.P.” and “Good Beat.” Merging house, techno, funk, soul, jazz, hip-hop and pop inspirations into an enthrallingly kaleidoscopic sound.
